The Angies Do the 70s- Superior Theatre Festival’17

Urban Abbey 308 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada

The Angies’ is an all-female Rolling Stones tribute band formed out of their passion for the Stones and for playing music together as a group of talented women. While they enjoy putting their own spin on all eras of the Stones’ music, it is the hard-rocking, gritty yet magical, post-Altamont 1970s era that most captivates the band. Their set includes classic Stones songs from the 1970s as well as other surprises to help set the mood and bring us all back to the '70s.
The show is at Urban Abbey at 10:30 sharp and is part of the Superior Theatre Festival!
Tickets are $10 and available on the Magnus Theatre website, in person, or at the door the night of the show.

Good Lovelies

Urban Abbey 308 Red River Rd, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada

Good Lovelies on Saturday, May 27th 2017
With Burn The Plan a long-awaited new album, Good Lovelies are both fulfilling and defying their so-called musical destiny as a “folk trio.” What makes this Burn The Plan special is that the band’s considerable strengths – winsome songwriting, impeccable vocals, and triangulated charisma – don’t tell the full story. There’s a new spirit of adventurousness that gives Burn The Plan an extra spark; the album is permeated with textures and tones from musical worlds away.
