Let Your True Colours Shine

The Study Coffeehouse 955 Oliver Rd, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada

You are invited to this year-end celebration of creativity. This year The Artery has teamed up with Lakehead University's Get Real chapter to create this space for the Lakehead University community to share their voices through their art. The general theme of "Let Your True Colours Shine" will encompass both the sharing and telling stories focus of The Artery and the queer focus of Get Real. Come bearing your true colours!
In addition to the open mic (bring your writings to share!), Lakehead University Artists will be showing and/or auctioning off visual art they have created throughout the year. Get Real has also reached out to local drag performers, all of whom are well versed in sharing their voices, in order to showcase this form of creativity as well. In all, this will be an extraordinary evening matching the extraordinary creative talent we have in our communities.
Due to complications with the publication process, The Artery will not be available at the event. But since this event will be taking the place of what would normally be a launch party, we will make sure to have "proofs" of The Artery available for you to view and/or use for the open mic. The 2017/2018 edition of The Artery will officially be available early May in both The Bookstore and The Study. For those of you who are heading out of town for the summer, the Bookstore's online website has shipping options. We will send out more information on all of this once The Artery is available.
We hope that you will join us in The Study on April 12th from 7:00-9:00 pm on the Thunder Bay campus for this event. See the attached poster or reply to this email for more details. And thank you for a great year,
