Boogie Benefit for ALS

Moose Hall 434 Fort William Rd, Thunder Bay, ON, Canada

Benefit Boogie for ALS is about people and families coming together to host a fundraiser to help improve the daily lives of Canadians living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis - a terminal disease).
Proceeds raised at the event will be donated to ALS Society of Canada.
This event is supported by ALS Society of Canada and is being held in honour of the late Ronald George Franklin (Few of a View Columnist – Senior Paper) and Sharon DePiero and Canadians living with ALS.
Help us celebrate a hopeful future without ALS through a night of music, dancing and socializing at the Moose Lodge #947 (434 Fort William Rd.) on Saturday, November 24th from 7:00 to 11:30 p.m.
Musicians include: Tara O’Brien, Wayne Faulconuer, Tender Mercy’s Reunion and The Roosters
Tickets are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door. Advanced tickets can be purchased by cash at the Moose Lodge #947, Chaltrek, International House of Tea, J.B. Evans, Music World and Wilderness Supply.

Benefit in Support of Leena Hupe – Oct 4

Leena Hupe is a wife to Dale Hupe, mother to Shanna Blackburn, Jenna Myllyniemi and JC Thompson and grandmother to Maci (4) and Levi (2). In September of 2012 at the age of 48, she was diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme; a dangerous and aggressive form of brain cancer. She has recently had a recurrence of 2 new tumours and needs a new type of medication not yet covered by OHIP or private medical insurance companies. Please come out and show your support! There's gonna be great prizes and LIVE MUSIC!!! Tickets will be available starting next Thursday- $3 each or 2 for $5

Thunder Bay will be hosting FinnThunder 2012, the 73rd annual Finnish Canadian Grand Festival, during the weekend of July 27 to 29, 2012. We wish to extend an invitation to everyone from near and far to join us in this event to:
DISCOVER Thunder Bay and its beautiful surroundings on the shore of Lake Superior.
ACQUAINT yourself with our Finnish community, including the historic Bay Street, the newly renovated Finlandia Hall and the beautiful Hilldale Lutheran Church.
