The Finlandia Association is a Thunder Bay community organization that supports Finnish heritage, local arts and culture, and the community around the historic Finlandia building (Finnish Labour Temple).

Standup Comedy ft Jeff McEnery

StandUp Comedy Returns to the Finlandia for another hillarious weekend on November 15th and 16th.  Our Headliner is the very talented Jeff McEnery who has been nominated for Best Male Stand Up Comedian at the Canadian Comedy Awards and was named Sirius XM's Top Comic in 2015.  He has performed at all major Comedy festivals in Canada including Just for Laughs in Montreal, The  Halifax Comedy Festival and  the Winnipeg Comedy Festival.  
Our Feature is the very funny and talented Tommie Thompson.  With roots from Red Rock Ontario, Tommie has been performing in clubs in the Toronto area, and is returning to our stage by popular demand.  Also gracing our stage will be Her Royal Highness, The Pass Lake Princess, Lee Noyes.  Our Emcee is coming in all the way from Kakabeka, Chris Holland,

Fall Concert In Support Of The Finlandia Association

Tickets at the door $15. All funds will go to support the Finlandia Association of Thunder Bay (FATB). Coffee/Tea and pulla will be available after the concert.
Pelimanni Orchestra is a Finnish-Canadian folk music orchestra. Our repertoire consists of Finnish folk and dance music as well as popular international dance and gospel music. We are proud to be an affiliate member of the FATB and call Finlandia Hall our home!

Keith Harkin w/ Joey Harkum

Keith is an Irish singer songwriter from Derry City, Ireland now residing in Los Angeles CA. Over the last 15 years, his musical talents have brought him across the world many times over. Including shows for President Obama at The White House, Sir Richard Branson on Necker Island, Secretary of State at the Pentagon, Mohamed Ali at Celebrity Fight Night and performing National Anthems at The Garden for The Boston Celtics to name but a few.
During his time touring the States, he gained recognition from Grammy Award-winning Producer, David Foster, who then went on to sign Keith as the first artists to the new Verve Records. Keith released his first solo debut album with Foster and Verve Records, where they watched it soar to the number 1 spot on the Billboard charts in Canada & the US. Keith was also the lead singer of the massive Irish sensation “Celtic Thunder” which had huge success with over fifteen #1 records world wide and over a millions in CD sales with numerous PBS specials.
Over the past 12 years since his first release, Keith has been writing all of his own material for his solo records. All four of Keith’s solo records have been ranked in the top 10 Charts in both Canada & the US. He is currently working on album #5 at his studio in Ireland.

Winter is gone and soon we will hear the Song of Purple Summer...Applauze Productions Proudly Presents SPRING AWAKENING, July 10th to 13th in the round at the Finlandia Hall Theatre. Based on the controversial 1891 German play by Frank Wedekind, this rock musical with music by Duncan Sheik and a book and lyrics by Steven Sater the show is so current it might as well have been written today. Set in late 19th-century Germany, and explores the story of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumult of teenage sexuality, mental health, and the repercussions of challenging the status-quo. The show features a talented cast of local performers and a band led by Danny Johnson. The show is directed by Thomas McDonald, Assistant Directed and Produced by Denise Krawczuk.
