TGS Bio: Formed in 2007 in Montreal, The Great Sabatini have directed their focus on a stripped-down approach to songwriting without discarding the technical aspects of their performance. Drawing on influences from doom metal, 70’s rock and grindcore helped create their unique although not unfamiliar sound.
Playing shows in and around Montreal led them to recording their first EP Burning Wilderness, at the end of 2007. A self-propelled coast-to-coast Canadian tour followed in early 2008, which allowed them to refine the material that would end up on their first full-length, Sad Parade of Yesterdays, released in November 2009. The band spent the better half of 2010 touring in support of the record, capping off the year with a month long tour across North America. In April of 2011 the band released their Napoleon Sodomite 7″ and are currently working on their next full-length album.
