DJ, MC, Producer, Promoter… Ruben “HYDEE” Reyes has made a name for himself in the Canadian music community over the past decade with unstoppable hustle, larger than life charm and top-shelf taste in Drum & Bass, Dubstep and everything else in-between. From early roots drumming in local punk and hardcore bands grew a love of DJing during the golden age of Toronto’s globally renowned Drum & Bass scene. Once Hydee heard the sounds of the UK underground there was no turning back and one of Toronto’s best loved personalities was born.
As a long-time resident at EMBRACE events, Hydee has shared the stage with superstars like Nero, Skrillex, Rusko, Flux Pavilion, Skream & Benga and many more. A WEMF festival favourite and regular headliner and friend of the world famous BASSMENTALITY weekly, he has built a fanatical fan-base through tireless hard work, impecable DJ skills and his love of high-energy, hands in the air anthems selected with the skill only a true veteran can bring. Now signed to the McKee Agency along side some of Canada’s most well known performers, Hydee is poised to bring his room-shaking sound to new audiences nationwide.
Equally able to rock a crowd from behind the decks or on the microphone, Hydee is riding high off the recent release of the BAD BOYS REMIX EP in June of 2012 with production partner Stickbubbly, making high-profile festival appearances across eastern canada this past summer and more highly anticipated original music on the horizon.
