Come out every Wednesday this summer from 6:00pm-9:00pm at Marina Park, starting on July 17th till August 29th.

Live on the Waterfront is a highly anticipated event that takes place every Wednesday evening during the summer season at Prince Arthur’s Landing, Marina Park. This vibrant and lively gathering brings together locals, visitors, and music enthusiasts to enjoy a magical evening of live entertainment, community spirit, and scenic beauty.

This event features an impressive lineup of musical acts spanning various genres, ensuring there’s something to suit every musical taste. From soulful jazz and upbeat pop to folk, rock, the performances are carefully curated to provide an unforgettable experience for attendees.

The sounds of live music fill the air as the performers take the stage, captivating the audience with their extraordinary talents. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own blankets or lawn chairs to make themselves comfortable during the event. Local food vendors, community groups and artisans will also be on site.

6 PM Cold Lake Sun

Robin E. Moss (vocals / guitar), Jordan Elcheson (lead guitar), Scott McKay (drums), Liesl Timko (Synth / vocals), and Mike Lyngstad (bass).

7 PM Sensational Hot Rods

The Sensational Hot Rods have been performing and promoting Thunder Bay for the past 24 years , the band has performed all across North America on world class stages from Dallas Texas , Arizona , coast to coast MANY times over two and a half decades. Not only musicians but entertainers.

8 PM Daniel Romano’s Outfit

Daniel Romano’s Outfit is a Canadian indie rock band shrouded in mystery, and known for their high intensity live performances. The band, which has garnered a reputation as a powerhouse supergroup, is lead by Daniel Romano.

6 PM Cartwrights

Cartwrights are a four piece band that fuse garage rock and indie folk. Drawing inspiration from The Replacements and Reigning Sound as they do John Prine and Bob Dylan, their live set features vibrant guitar riffs, pounding drum rolls, melodic bass lines, warm and vibrant keys and earnest and raw vocals. They have shared the stage with many of Canada’s greatest live acts, such as the Sadies, Elliott Brood and Daniel Romano’s Outfit.

7 PM Berk Jodoin

As a Métis artist from Pierceland, Saskatchewan, Berk Jodoin has experienced much of what he sings about. After a promising hockey career was derailed by life-threatening alcoholism, Jodoin turned his life around with the help of a B.C. treatment centre. He then took up boxing, but after realizing that injuries were tempting him to return to his bad habits, Jodoin turned to music as his therapy.

8 PM Clerel

A natural-born vocalist, soul singer & songwriter Clerel nurtured his taste for melody in his coastal hometown of Douala, Cameroon, where he grew up listening to music from his parentsʼ record collection, which ranged from church hymns and afrobeat to French chanson. As a child, he developed a habit of singing his favourite songs to himself as a way to “listen” to them whenever he desired, an exercise that helped hone his signature smooth tone.

6 PM Jessica Sole

From small town Shelburne, Ontario, Jessica is no stranger to hard work, down home roots, and determination. Jessica grew up in a musical family and received her bachelor degree in music from Humber College in 2020. Since then, Jessica has written and recorded multiple albums in Nashville.

7 PM Jonny Lee

Jonny Lee is a singer-songwriter & recording artist from Alliston, ON. A seasoned performer & veteran frontman, Jonny brings a thunderous fusion of country & rock to every stage he plays. Jonny has performed as an opening act for Tim Hicks at Kipawa Countryfest. Other performances include The Gibson Centre, The Sleeman Centre, Schomberg Fair & Alliston Potatofest.

8 PM Boy Golden

Since his debut, Church of Better Daze (2020), Boy Golden has been immersed in the journey: one where he’s travelled inward towards himself and the other traversing the observable world. Touring for hundreds of days, spending time at home in the studio alone or with friends, Boy Golden has been writing, writing, writing. From the lyrics, to the music, to the accompanying behind the scenes stories and newsletters, Boy Golden’s honesty and clarity are magnificent. At times they magnify small wells of sadness, bringing forth the tears; other times they widen smiles, decimate guilt and fear, and others still, his songwriting eases the boundaries between folk, bluegrass, Americana and pop music.

6 PM Genevieve Racette

Geneviève Racette, a highly acclaimed folk-pop musician from Québec, has captured the hearts of listeners with her gentle yet compelling emotional resonance. Since her debut EP in 2014, she has gained remarkable industry support for her folk-pop tracks. Geneviève has become a rising star in both the French and English-speaking Canadian music scenes, known for her vulnerable lyricism and ethereal vocals.

7 PM Chris Talarico

Chris is an eclectic mix of sounds and genres with a distinctly Canadian sound. Chris has performed all over Northwestern, Ontario including Thunder Bay. Chris brings with him a full band comprised of guitar, bass and drums, giving his performance the flexibility to play across many genres with a full sound.

8 PM Julian Taylor

With a soulful voice and captivating stage presence, Julian’s unique blend of blues, roots, and folk music has earned him a growing fanbase and critical acclaim not only in Canada but also in Europe and the US. He’s earned four Juno Award nominations (including one this year for Roots Album of the Year for “Beyond The Reservoir”) , along with six Canadian Folk Music Awards for Solo Artist and English Songwriter of the Year – won Solo Artist in 2022, five Native American Music Award nominations, plus a nomination for Canada’s most prestigious music accolade, the Polaris Music Prize.

6 PM Natalia Arroyo

Award-winning multi-instrumentalist and composer Natalia Arroyo performs traditional music from northern Mexico, consolidating her sound in a fresh and innovative way. She performs songs that blend the root of traditional Mexican music with jazz and folk. The result is a beautiful blend of sounds that captures the rich knowledge of Natalia’s Mexican folk music and the ever-changing northern Baja California rhythms.

7 PM Tim Albertson

Born and raised in the small town of Hurkett, Ontario, Tim Albertson is a Small Town Boy, with Stadium Like Sound. His powerful vocals and party-like nature creates an event that continues to be talked about long after the lights go down. “My whole life has led up to these moments, I remember standing at my family home, on the big industrial gutters, dreaming of it as a stage, and the field as the crowd. When I hit that stage, and I see that crowd, its like electricity courses through me and I let the whole venue feel it.”

8 PM Free Label

The Free Label comprises six multi-instrumentalists and vocalists from Toronto, Canada. Their music is a unique fusion of 70s disco, 90s R&B, and high-energy funk, resulting in a captivating, dance-focused show. In the studio, the band has collaborated with Grammy-nominated artists such as saxophonist Braxton Cook, featured on their 2022 release “Shine,” and Grammy-nominated producer Aaron Paris (Drake, Kanye West, Kali Uchis), who composed and recorded strings for their latest single, “Real Love.”

6 PM Solomon

(Nolan Schmerk) A proud member of Fort William First Nation, he is an Indigenous Soundmaker/ Wordsmith/ Emcee/ Turntablist/ Deejay/ Beatmaker/ Producer. He is a Raptivist/Edutainer. He is Hip-Hop. Why? Because he celebrates Peace, Unity, Love, and Having Fun. He grew up listening to lyricists preach about social injustice, police brutality, corporate corruption, systemic racism. Hip-hop—conscious Hip-hop, that is—helped him make informed decisions. As a grownup, he assumes the role of messenger and fuses into his music thoughts and ideas that question the Status Quo with a sound that flirts with jazz but also roots itself in a firm understanding of silence, or the sparse magic of simplicity.

stardrop is a Alt-pop trio blending soulful electric guitar stylings of Justin Stiles, spacious tasty drum beats of Jordan Gray, and captivating vocals of stardrop. Moody soul-soothers to catchy funky bops. stardrop is a portal to your inner baddie.

8 PM Alysha Brilla

As a songwriter and musician, Alysha has collaborated with The Black Eyed Peas, Bedouin Soundclash, Digging Roots, No Doubt, Paula Sofia and 3X Grammy Award Winning mastering engineer Emily Lazar. In 2013, Alysha became one of the first self-produced female artists to receive a JUNO Award nomination. Since then, she has won Producer of The Year at the 2018 Independent Music Awards for her album “Rooted” with her music being featured in film television and Spotify Editorial Playlists.

6 PM Tin Pan Alley

Formed in the heart of Thunder Bay, Tin Pan Alley has been serenading audiences for years. Their repertoire spans the ages, from classic rock to iconic hits, but what truly set them apart was their unforgettable tribute shows gracing local stages, channelling the spirit of legendary artists, like the haunting melodies of Fleetwood Mac, the timeless tunes of the Beatles and the enigmatic charisma of David Bowie. With a change in members, Tin Pan Alley is diving into the nostalgia of incredible bands we all grew up listening to and loved.

7 PM Sara Kae

Ojibwe/Cree singer-songwriter Sara Kae often takes any opportunity she can to tell a story. From a young age, she quickly realized that music was her vehicle in doing so. With family hailing from Lake Helen First Nation, her Indigenous roots have always been a prominent point of inspiration in both life and her creative endeavours. Kae’s music is influenced by her Northern Ontario surroundings and her Indigeniety. Kae continues to spend time within her community while working on a new EP to release in the near future.

8 PM The Pursuit of Happiness

Formed in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in 1985, this JUNO Award nominated Canadian power pop band is led by singer/songwriter Moe Berg. Their debut album “Love Junk” released in 1988. “Iʼm an Adult Now” first written by Berg in 1985, was re-recorded and re-released as a single, making it to the charts a second time reaching No. 6 on Billboardʼs alternative songs chart. It was followed by “Sheʼs So Young” and “Hard To Laugh”. The album sold over 100,000 copies in Canada and was certified platinum. TPOH continued recording music and touring into the 90s, and was inducted into the Canadian Indies Hall of Fame in 2006. More recently, they have been performing across the country and keeping the music alive.

6 PM Lockyer Boys with DJ Syrën

The Lockyer Boys (Will and Charlie Lockyer) are brothers, singers, instrumentalists, producers, and “a duo destined for stardom” – To the Point Music USA. Starting from a young age, the Boys were showstoppers at concerts, entertaining crowds with harmonies and stage presence far beyond their years. Now, they impress multiple sold-out venues including opening positions for the Barenaked Ladies, Loverboy, Fefe Dobson, and more.

8 PM Choir Revolution

Choir Revolution is a travelling, interactive singing event for all abilities of singers. We provide a zero-judgement space for everyone to share the incredible joys of group singing, improved mental health, and community! Join Choir Master, Brett Caswell, as he and his talented musicians turn the crowd (YOU!) into the Choir, through thoughtful and fun arrangements of popular songs – It’s Group Singing, not Rocket Science!
