With the release of a brand new CD and accolades from legendary Los Angeles producer George Massenburg, Montreal-based Ladies of the Canyon is on the verge of great things. The female quartet of Maia Davies, Senja Sargeant, Jennifer Bleile, and Anna Ruddick blend angelic vocal harmonies with smart country-styled arrangements. Their sound is a more stylish and polished version of The Dixie Chicks and their lyrics more confessional.
