Karnival on the Kam

This July, Fort William Historical Park introduces Karnival on the Kam, a thrilling four-day carnival to celebrate the sesquicentennial!
Karnival on the Kam will feature thrilling spectacles such as skydiving stunts and aerial coordination, a big top circus, jet ski, flyboard and water ski stunt shows, human cannonball stunts, timber sports and lumberjack shows, trapeze and high wire acts, acrobats, and chainsaw jugglers! Visitors will enjoy musical entertainment and video games in the Game RV, and be able to go for an exciting flyboard ride on the Kaministiquia River.
Karnival on the Kam will also feature Canada’s largest fireworks show! This breathtaking, multi-component show will combine fireworks and narration to tell the story of Fort William and its contributions to the development of our community.

Car
Fort William Historical Park is located at 1350 King Road, Thunder Bay. Click here to get directions to the Park. Parking is free.
Thunder Bay Transit
Fort William Historical Park can be reached by taking Thunder Bay Transit Route #4, Neebing.View the Neebing route schedule here. The Neebing bus route is not available on Sundays or Statutory Holidays.
Bike
Cyclists are welcome. Bike racks will be available.
Water Access (boats, canoes, kayaks, etc.)
Docking or tie ups for boats and canoes from the Kaministiqua River will not be available for this event. There is no admissions entrance via the Kaministiquia River.

Karnival on the Kam is an all-weather event. Please dress appropriately. Entertainment and/or activity schedules may change or be cancelled in the case of extreme weather conditions.
Pets

Food and Beverage
The Cantine Restaurant will be offering a full menu (debit, Visa, MasterCard and cash are accepted).
Licensed Areas: Mad Mac’s Tavern (19+).All visitors will be asked for appropriate identification by staff to enter the liquor licensed areas.
Outside food and beverages are not allowed
If a patron has dietary restrictions (i.e., allergies, etc.) contact the Visitor Experiences Coordinator at 473-2357 prior to the event to make alternate arrangements.
Camping
There is NO camping at this event.
RV’s are only permitted in the parking lot for the duration of the event; overnight stays are not permitted.
Event Rules and Regulations
Any patron found to be in contravention with the rules and regulations will be dealt with accordingly.
Fort William Historical Park has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for violence.
Smoking is only allowed outside of the palisade walls.
Pets are not allowed on the historic site during any FWHP event.
