On Friday, December 18th, at 7PM at St. Agnes Church, the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra will be holding a Free Benefit Concert in support of Syrian Refugees who will be resettling in Thunder Bay, in partnership with the Thunder Bay Multicultural Association.
This Free Benefit Concert will include Baroque Christmas music, including selected movements from George Frideric Handel’s Messiah and Johann Sebastian Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, and a Carol Sing-Along.
The concert is free for all to attend, with donations accepted at the door. Proceeds from this concert will be split with the majority going to the Thunder Bay’s Multicultural Association to help them prepare for refugees resettling in Thunder Bay, and a small portion going to the TBSO to cover the concert production costs.
