MUDLARK Stitch together the finest elements of extreme doom, grind and crust is not necessarily an unheard of maneuver these days, but Mudlark are doing their thing with an urgency and unrelenting heaviness that completely delivers the goods. They aren’t afraid to be atmospheric, ungodly heavy or fast as hell over the course of these songs and they are completely caustic in any approach they choose, making for a gut-wrenching listening experience that never allows you to brace yourself for what is coming around the corner. Doom riffs collide with blasts and vice a versa as the entire band always locks together in unison for each change-up without a hitch. The biting vocal delivery also adds a ton of punch to the mix as this guy has got an iron larynx that delivers vomiting, dirt-caked growls that perfectly flow with the music and spill out slightly political lyrics that are drenched in a layer of bile and hatred. there are even a few clean sections that help to contrast the heaviness drastically and add an extra touch of mood to their spine-numbing sound.

SCUMBELLY, featuring one member from Mudlark, fire it up with ultra-fast hardcore/sludge scorchers, they play heavy and hard yet bring on something fresh with their style. Their dedication and professionalism leave very little room for criticism.
