A SOLDIERS TALE – [MUSIC-THEATRE-DANCE]

Urban Infill, Thunder Bay’s newest arts and culture event, will present “A Soldier’s Tale” on Saturday, February 10th at 8pm at the former Paramount Theatre (24 Court St.) A theatrical work by Igor Stravinsky “to be read, played, and danced”, A Soldier’s Tale is the story of a soldier who sells his violin to the Devil in exchange for a book that can predict the future of the stock market. Witty, sarcastic, and humorous, A Soldier’s Tale will showcase the talents of Thunder Bay Symphony members under the direction of conductor Jason Caslor, Misako Sotozaki, violin; E-Chen Hsu,
clarinet; Karine Breton, bassoon; Amy Horvey, trumpet; Eric Hongisto, trombone; Matt Perrin, bass; and Jean-François Breton, percussion, and will feature vocalist Geoge Holborn as its narrator. The inimitable Dean Jobin-Bevans will play the part of the Devil and Marc Nabokov the hapless Soldier. The evening will also feature a special guest performer, Regina-based dancer Heather Cameron.
