Like her albums before, Jann Arden’s self-titled release contains quirky, catchy melodies, emotionally evocative voice and hundred-pound lyrics. On the surface, much of this new album is filled with up-tempo, radio friendly songs, but listen again and Arden’s deceptively enlightening interpretations of the common will begin to emerge.
