The Thunder Bay Blues Society (TBBS) board of directors is proud to announce the entire lineup for Blues Blast 2025 Saturday May 24, 2025 at the DaVinci Centre (340 Waterloo St South). The 2025 edition of Blues Blast will feature 2 international touring blues bands and one local blues band. Doors will open at 6:00pm and music will go to 11:00pm. As with all our shows, the lineup will be all killer, no filler!

Headlining the evening at 9:30pm will be the return of 7X Blues Music Award nominee Brandon Santini. The TBBS board has had many requests from our members to bring harmonica/vocalist Brandon Santini back, who last played Thunder Bay at our TBBS 20th Anniversary two-night celebration November 2018. Since his appearance in Thunder Bay Brandon has toured North and South America, U.K., Europe, India and Egypt. Our city will be one of the first stops on Brandons tour to support his brand-new album “Which Way Do We Go”. With an album release party slated in Memphis May 8/9 to promote that new Momojo Records recording, Brandon’s smoking 4-piece band will be primed and ready to entertain our blues fans here in Thunder Bay once more!

Direct from Chicago…Delmark Records (the world’s longest continuously operating blues record label) recording artist The Mike Wheeler Band will hit the stage at 7:30pm. This Chicago Blues Hall of Fame inductee and his band are often referred to as “Chicago’s’ hardest working band”. If you are ever in Chicago during the weekend and looking to catch some blues, his band often has the coveted Friday/Saturday slots at the top drawing blues clubs in Chicago (Rosa’s Lounge, Buddy Guy Legends, Kingston Mines, Blue Chicago) when not on the road. Mike Wheeler has toured internationally and shared the stage with many of the elite blues musicians the world has known. Thunder Bay blues fans…get ready for authentic “real deal” Chicago blues.

Kicking off the evening musical festivities at 6:30pm will be Junior & the Bifocals. Also known within the local music circuit as The JB Band, these veteran musicians dig back into their blues roots as Junior & the Bifocals. Their 30-minute set will feature hard hitting blues that will be the start of a fantastic night of entertainment.

Exclusive for TBBS Members: Thunder Bay Blues Society members will have first access to tickets for Blues Blast 2025 during a one-week presale April 5-12. TBBS members have the opportunity to purchase reserved group seating at $60 per ticket for groups of 2/4/6/8. THAT IS A SAVINGS OF $10 PER TICKET OVER THE $70 ADVANCE TICKET PRICE BY BEING A TBBS MEMBER. Each TBBS member will be limited to a maximum purchase of 4 tickets during the presale. Once the TBBS member presale is over, any unsold tickets will be available for sale to the general public at select ticket outlets starting May 1.
