Join us at the Red Lion for the Bowie Wake! Let’s listen to the songs, enjoy the love we have for his work and celebrate a fantastic life together. Local musicians, come one and all and share a Bowie tune. Want to share a Bowie moment? We will raise a glass as you share. Did the Goblin King wow you? Did his music inspire you? Did his art help you along? A low key event to raise a glass to the shining star that he was.
We’ve got Jen Metcalfe coming down to share some Bowie Love! More artists will be announced as we go.

We also thought it very fitting to involve NorWest Community Health Centres as they do excellent work in the LGBTQ community, considering the barriers broken by Bowie & his influence on all of us in gender issues. We will have something set up at the event to take donations that will go towards NorWest’s LGBTQ programming and sevices.
