Formed back in the Fall of 2007, Stephen Gray (vocals / guitar), Taylor Perrault (guitar), AJ Astle (bass) and James Agostino (drums) of The Other Colour produce a melodious sound by blending sincere, emotional song writing with a definitive pop-rock sound. Their music is a result of exposure to a wide range of cultural and musical influences, resulting in the creation of songs with relevance, honesty, passion and integrity. Each member has a musical background, be it Lakehead University, Humber College or lead roles in musicals. This diverse element adds a unique flare to the band, quite frankly setting them apart from their contemporaries.
Don’t you(,) mean people? was conceived by Taylor Price (guitar), Alex Cummins (drums), and Mack Davis (bass) in the fall of 2011. DYMP’s plays free-form music that straddles the genres of math-rock and post-rock. Their aesthetic is natural sounding instruments and aphoristic song titles. They decided that in order to achieve their vision the band would be acoustic with no distortion and no special effects. Dynamics, technique, and physical energy give their raw acoustic sounds the energy needed so that they can compare with the intensity of other rock bands.
Collin Clowes consists on a unique sound of alternative folk residing from Gorham/Thunder Bay, Ontario. His lyrics are often bittersweet that will leave you with a full-blown image of his writing. The music accompanying his words flow and mesh together to give off different types of vibes throughout his songs. Clowes is a self-taught musician always willing to learn more and he is dedicating all that he is into the music.
