Our 2017-18 season opens with some of the greatest of the great. Mozart’s profound and comic Overture to the Magic Flute unfolds with music of sublime simplicity and wit. Prokofiev’s electrifying Piano Concerto No. 3 is full of soaring lyricism and spiky dissonances and features young superstar Charles Richard-Hamelin. Dvořák’s New World Symphony, one of the best-known and most-loved symphonies ever written, is full of nostalgic melodies, warm orchestral colours and sweeping emotion.
