Blues House Party 4 Band Announcement
The Thunder Bay Blues Society (TBBS) is proud to announce the band line-up for Blues House Party 4, to be held at the Polish Hall located at 102 South Court St March 25, 2023.
7:00pm Voodoo Blue
Kicking off the 25th Anniversary Year of the Thunder Bay Blues Society will be an exciting newly formed band led by bassist Carol Pominville (formerly of Loose Cannon) . This four-piece blues-rock outfit also includes well-known local musicians Kai Siltimaki (guitar), Jaime Morrison (vocals) and Stu Green (drums). Voodoo Blue will kick things of at 7:00pm… any fan of blues-rock will not want to miss this 45-minute set.
8:00pm The Blue Pretenders
A band featuring a triple threat of three vocalists, these “dangerous gentlemen” feature a wide range of blues from traditional to contemporary. Led by Dave Jonasson (guitar/vocal), this unit also includes Brad Rusnak (keys/vocals), “Memphis” Mike Carson (bass/vocals) and John Stadtlander (drums).
9:00pm James Boraski and MomentaryEvolution
This band needs no introduction to Thunder Bay blues fans, having been featured at the Thunder Bay Blues Festival in 2016 and 2019. A 2015 inductee into the American Heritage Blues Hall of Fame, this set at Blues House Party 4 will have something for everyone. Featuring a wide range of blues and the vocal stylings of band leader James Boraski, the band is also complimented by Brad Rusnak on keys/vocals, Bob Stewart on sax and a couple guests in store for us as well!!
10:00pm The B5 Blues Band
Consisting of musicians who regularly participate in the weekly Sunday night blues jam at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5 on Van Norman St, this band is doing more than their part to keep the blues alive in Thunder Bay. Led by veteran guitarist/vocalist Ed Mlynarksi, this band also features Ed Drotar (guitar/vocals), Gary Hare (keys/vocals) “Memphis” Mike Carson (bass/vocals) and Tyler Manning (drums). They may even have a few “guest appearances” during the closing set at Blues House Party 4.
Doors open at 6:30pm and music starts at 7:00pm sharp!
Before tickets are available to the general public, Thunder Bay Blues Society members only will have exclusive access to a TWO WEEK RESERVED TABLE PRESALE for groups of 2/4/6/8 starting on February 4 and ending on February 18. Each seat at a table is only $25… an incredible deal for 4 bands and over 3 hours of live blues music!!
