Crickets Comedy Club present Dean Young

Born in Northern Ontario, Dean’s festival credits include NXNE, Streamfest 2013, Comedy Bar’s ‘Best of 2014’, the 2014 Iceland Comedy Festival, the Border City Comedy Festival, 2015 Dark Comedy Festival and ‘Podcasting 101’ at Toronto’s She Dot Festival. He’s appeared at Showtime Comedy Club, The Corner Comedy Club, Premier Comedy, Absolute Comedy, Yuk Yuks, headlined in Honolulu, and for you now at Cricket’s Comedy Club Thunder Bay.
Dean has appeared on MTV Canada, the ichannel standup series ‘No Kidding’, Night Time with Michael Charbon, and was a main cast member on the comedy panel show “In My Humble Opinion” on Funny or Die. Film credits include Massacre at Femur Creek, The Hobo & The Clown and Die Cody Die. Appearing at high brow film festivals like Blood in the Snow, Umbertidead Film Festival, Brooklyn Film Festival, Hamilton Film Festival and some hard to pronounce stuff in Europe.
A regular guest on podcasts, rock radio and network shows across the dial (even in Iceland!) Dean’s angelic voice has been heard on Sirius XM’s Canada Talks and Canada Laughs, Humble & Fred, CBC Radio, Sex City Radio, Pod Almighty Network and as a regular co-host on Ward & Al on SXM Canada
Dean is the comedy editor for Canada’s The Scene Magazine and Toronto Guardian. A touring comic across Canada, he’s performed everywhere – including a hotel bathroom and a homeless shelter. He’s a host of live shows at Toronto’s Comedy Bar, Tango Palace, Cherry Cola’s and The Brogue and the hit storytelling show ‘Tinder Tales’. Dean can be heard Thursdays on Forever Young with Dean Young & Friends on TALKHOLE, Canada’s comedy podcast network (which he started) and on Inside Jokes airing weekly on AM640 in Toronto
Tickets are $10 each at the door, with portions of proceeds going to the Arthritis Society of Thunder Bay.
