The Lakehead University Native Students Association will be hosting its 28th Annual Powwow on March 11-13, 2016.
Friday: Warm-ups – 6:00pm

Saturday: Grand Entry – 1:00pm
Traditonal Feast – 5:00pm
Grand Entry – 7:00pm
Sunday: Grand Entry – 12:00pm
Closing Ceremonies – 5:00pm

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED – Volunteers are needed for the 28th Annual LUNSA “Truth and Reconciliation” Powwow being held on Friday, March 11 to Sunday, March 13. Volunteers would have the option of volunteering on either or both days, Saturday, March 12 and Sunday, March 13. A volunteer meeting will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at 6:30 PM, at the CJ Sanders Fieldhouse. HIGH SCHOOL students needing volunteer hours are being asked to bring their volunteer forms to the Powwow. WILD FOOD NEEDED – The Lakehead University Native Students Association (LUNSA) is in the process of planning and preparing for this year’s powwow, and LUNSA is seeking donations of traditional food for the powwow feast. Any wild food donations, such as moose, deer, caribou, fish, rabbit, etc; would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Sheila Pelletier-Demerah, ACSS at (807) 343-8085 or email acss@lakeheadu.ca if you are able to make a donation.
