Bay Street Film Festival (Night 4) – Sept 8

$7 – $20The 9th annual Bay Street Film Festival will take place in Thunder Bay, Ontario from Thursday,
September 5 – Sunday, September 8, 2013. Screenings are held at the historic Finnish Labour Temple at 314 Bay Street which accommodates 200 people per screening and also houses the famous Hoito restaurant which specializes in Finnish cuisine.
The Bay Street Film Festival aims to be the premiere event for filmmakers from the
Northwestern Ontario region and from circumpolar communities around the world to show their work and learn from industry professionals.
The Festival:
• Helps shape the culture by curating with a specific theme.
• Creates access to independent voices and new stories.
• Brings films and filmmakers together.
• Educates filmmakers and audiences.
• Fosters creativity, collaboration, partnerships and opportunities.
• Gives filmmakers the ability to leverage the festival’s marketing.
• Empowers a creative community and its artists
Since 2005, the Bay Street Film Festival has screened hundreds of films made by independent filmmakers in Thunder Bay and globally. The Festival was started by local filmmakers and film buffs with the Flash Frame Film and Video Network to create a unique film experience where audiences and filmmakers could make personal connections.
We’re committed to developing the Festival as a Green Event, finding ways to conserve
resources. We’re grateful to the City of Thunder Bay’s EcoSuperior Environmental Program for
their guidance in our sustainable efforts.
Session Pass: $7.00 / or $20.00 for the weekend
