From the British Isles to Northern France, Cape Breton to North Western Ontario, Celtic culture has made a significant contribution to North America and the globe. Experience the energy and excitement of Fort William Historical Park’s Celtic Fair!
Whether you are interested in the music, the drama, or the food…
**Bacchanal Promotions**
Bacchanal Promotions specializes in circus entertainment and fire performance and provides high quality entertainment throughout North America. Come see strolling entertainers as well as shows on the main stage featuring fire breathing, sword swallowing, tarot card reading and much more!
**Pipe Band Demonstrations**
The sound of the pipes fills the Main Square both Saturday and Sunday with Thunder Bay’s own local bands as well as the St. Andrew’s Society pipe band and highland dances of Winnipeg.
**Highland Tea in the Great Hall**
Join the proprietor and his wife for tea and dainties in the Great Hall. Enjoy music, dancing and poetry.
**Participate in Highland Games**
Highland games are emblematic of Scottish heritage especially. Test you strength with caber tossing or stone putting.
**Re-enactors**
A long time favourtie- The Celtic themed re-enactors Clann Tartan bring history to life!
**Kids Zone**
Games, stories, crafts, music, and featuring The Puppet Tamer and Cobbler Jay.
This year’s entertainers are: The Paper Boys Feat. Tom Landa + McInnis’ Kitchen + Flipper Flanagan + Greasey Creases + St. Andrew’s Pipe Band Society + Kam Valley Fiddlers + Thunder Bay Police Pipe Band + McGillivray Pipe Band + The Pipes and Drums of Thunder Bay.
**Sword Demonstrations**
Observe swordplay in the hands of masters. Silver Sword Armouries demonstrates the technique of sword fighting.

July 22nd – 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

**What to bring:**
Lawn chairs, blankets, bug spray, sunscreen and proper ID if you are wishing to enter licensed area. Cameras are permitted for patrons to take photos of the festivals but cannot take pictures of the bands on stage. Umbrellas are permitted for use but will be restricted to the perimeter of the festival grounds.
This event is a go even in rain. Extreme weather may have some entertainment or activities shifted to later in the schedule as weather allows. All tickets are non refundable and there are no raindates.
All seating is festival seating; there are no assigned seats for general admission.
Parking is FREE for this event.
ATM$$ Machines will be available on site.
Food and drink will be available for sale from local food vendors. Outside food and beverages are not allowed (in the event of a patron with allergies or other concerns please contact events at (807) 473-2357 to make alternate arrangements)
Pets are not allowed at this event. (Pets are allowed in the Campground only)
Smoking is allowed in designated areas.
**Access and Transportation:**
Cyclists are welcome, bike racks will be available.
