Boen Arts is pleased to announce Talents of Ukraine in 2011 Canadian Tour. The tour will commence on October 11 in Vancouver and will continue to travel throughout British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Quebec, and Ontario. Tickets are on-sale now.
A sun ray lyric tenderness of Donbas region, Cossack courage and impudence, girl’s sincerity and kindness are reflected in the concert programs of the Honored academic Song and Dance Company of Ukraine “Donbas”. This artistic group began its creative activity in 1937 in the city of Donetsk, and from the first steps they fascinated their spectators and listeners with bright spectacle of joyful proficiency of the native land. Variety, emotion of the musical rhythms, national color, artistic taste of the creative leaders, and skills of performers all these qualities bring success to the group. Many well known choreographers such as Pavlo Virsky, Oleksiy Homon, Valentyn Mykhailow and others have worked in this Dance Company. Donbas toured in Poland, Romania, Germany, Spain, France, Greece, Portugal etc. During last decade under the direction of Valentyn Kichik and artistic direction of Oleksander Prokopenko Donbas performed in USA, China, Siria and three times in Brazil.
