Mason Rack is a born enertainer - growing up playing percusion at the age of six with his musicion father Billy Rack. Progressing to drums at age eight, Mason was able to play any style of music. For the next four years Mason developed a natural rhythm that is now part of his soul and way of life.

Mason picked up a guitar in his early years and mastered the genre of blues and rock which is his true passion. His stage performance is an experience in itself. With more than 2000 shows performed including major music festivals throughout Australia and Canada, the musician shows no signs of slowing down.

The raspy vocals of lead frontman Mason Rack have been described by fans as one on the sexiest voices in the blues music scene with flashes from Tom Waits and Led Zeppelin.

NATHAN LEE-ARCHER

Bass / Vocals / Percussion

Nathan, aka "Kong", hails from the beautiful island state of Tasmania and joined the band following the 3rd Canadian tour. Slotting straight into the blues/rock genre - Nathan not only provids a solid bottom end but also delivers an explosive, high energy performance to highten the musical experience.

Creating unique bass sounds and loops, wailing on the guitar, drumming on kegs (and even balancing on them) Nathan's love of music and perfoming is obvious as he looks most comfortable on stage. Drawing influences from artists like Led Zepplin, Jimi Hendix, Flea and Victor Woooten - Nathan loses all his inhibiitons while performing - inviting the auidence to do the same.

JOEL PURKESS

Drums / Vocals / Percussion

Better known as "Thunder" - Joel "Thunderfoot" Purkess lives and breathes drums. Originating from Edmonton Canada and graduating from Grant MacEwan Jazz College, Joel flew over to Australia after a successful 6 month tour with the Mason Rack Band in Canada. Joel now resides in Australia, is one of the best drummers Mason has ever seen. Some of Joel's influences include Virgil Donati, Buddy Rich, Gavin Harrison, Chad Smith, Jojo Mayer and Tony Williams. Known for his energetic show stealing drum solos, Joel is winning over crowds one beat at a time. With a fiery passion for drums and a love of all things rythmic, Joel is a perfect fit for the Mason Rack Band.
