WhipKraft

WhipKraft is a dark goth/industrial metal band or Tanz-Metall formed in San Francisco, California. Vega Vena Kava officially formed WhipKraft in 2004. However 2003 was a crucial year in which Vena Kava met Adrian Maestas Slough Feg to form the early foundations of the band. Later that year Jon Cobbit (Gwar, Slough Feg) helped lay down some guitar tracks for the demo. In 2004 WhipKraft found Davide Paterno who became the Synth player for the band. WhipKraft was soon a live circuit act, with Slough Feg Members backing Vena Kava; these included, Maestas, Mike Scalzi (Cocaine Romeo), and Greg Ha. WhipKraft was a full on theatrical performance, with dancers, performers, and costumes. In 2006 WhipKraft started working on the debut album “Welcome to the Chapel Perilous,” enlisting various musicians to embed the music with various qualities. These extra members included: Mark Baggot (guitar), Troy Arajas (drums), and Colin Delaney. Currently WhipKraft is a studio project. Now with the release of “Welcome to the Chapel Perilous,” a rather dark, urban, goth album; WhipKraft is working on the next album -- The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse,” a metal concept album. New members are introduced in this album, guitar sensationalist Kris Sobanski, and Hammer Ash on drums. WhipKraft will resume life performance shows after this album is complete.
