Drink Fuelled Violence

Drink Fuelled Violence are a 4-piece punk rock band hailing from Essex. In the summer of 2003, Craig Lobbley (guitar), Nick Quinn (drums) and Tom Perrott (bass), all from Upminster decided to form a 3-piece band and play the music they all love, Punk Rock. After the 1st few weeks the felt that something was missing a brought in Tim Brown to play lead guitar and off they went, rehearsing in Tom's Summerhouse.

On the 2nd December 2003, Quinn’s 16th Birthday, the band, then called 'The Abused' played their 1st gig at a youth club in Upminster playing a range of covers including 'Dammit' by Blink 182, 'When I Come Around' by Greenday and 2 of their own songs 'Get Outta My Way' and 'Life On A Couch'. By the summer of 2004 the band had an almost full set including songs such as 'Party' and 'One Night Stand', which have since been dropped by the band from their set. It was also around this time that Tim was asked to leave the band for personal reasons and Chris Brand joined the band and they changed their name to 'Drink Fuelled Violence', (DFV).
